Case Study
Live Action • Commercial • Online Advertising • Paid Social Media
Laura Geller and Debi Mazar teamed up in a witty, Italian-inspired ad campaign promoting the fan favorite Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator. These playful ads ran across major social platforms and traditional broadcast television. The full multi-channel strategy garnered 800K video views, 678 press placements, and over 1.24 billion media impressions.
Purchases were made through the brand’s online store, TikTok shop, QVC and Amazon. It sold out in 48 hours on Amazon and has sold over 20,000 units.
Successful product launches like this require savvy execution. Our team at Lightpost Studios handled the full scope of creative post-production capabilities. The breadth of our delivered content included platform-specific versions of the sit-down interview between the two beauty celebs, lifestyle vignettes throughout Florence, and the primary ad featuring the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator.
Our talented artists executed across the entire post-production pipeline: editorial, animation, color, sound, visual effects, mastering, and versioning. Part of our editorial process required distilling the hour-long candid interview between Debi and Laura, down to its core content for audiences, through the use of our transcription and scriptwriting capabilities. Visual effects were subtly applied throughout the videos, to enhance footage and aesthetic appeal. Our sound and color finishing team ensured that music, dialogue and sound effects mixed together perfectly, with every shot playing like a work of art, fitting of a beauty brand.
A premium brand deserves premium content. In fact, Google and Neilsen industry summaries report creative quality explains roughly 56–70% of impact on purchase intent or ad effectiveness. When coupled with a targeted marketing strategy, a product launch can really shine, or in the case of Laura Geller, they can “gilded honey glow.”
